Confluence (kuala) merupakan istilah geografi yang digunakan untuk menggambarkan pertembungan antara dua atau lebih sumber aliran air. Gambar di bawah ini adalah antara tempat pertembungan air sungai yang terkenal dan ianya mempunyai warna air yang jelas berbeza disebabkan sungai-sungai tersebut mengandungi komposisi air yang berlainan.
