The video has had almost 15,000 views since it was uploaded yesterday with commentators suggesting reasons for why you would microwave an iPhone, costing from $199 to $399.
Incredibly although it is seriously blackened the phone is still intact. As a further publicity stunt, the YouTube user has put the destroyed device on eBay....for $3,001.
Meanwhile Apple haters are praising him as a hero and suggested burning iPhones in Samsung microwaves.
